Project Information

We've sponsored two Rotary Clubs ...

Rotary Club of Weston Creek in 1980

Seven years after its own charter was presented, the Rotary Club of Canberra South embarked upon the ambitious task of establishing a new club in the Woden area. It was to be known as the Rotary Club of Weston Creek and its first President was Warren Turton.

The Club was chartered on 17 May 1980 and continues to thrive today.

The Club currently meets at the Yamba Sports Club in Phillip on Monday nights.

The Weston Creek Club's emphasis conintues to be the people of Weston Creek and their needs.

Rotary Club of Tuggeranong in 1989

Two years after his term as President of Canberra South, Derek Black embarked on a mission to establish a Rotary Club in the Tuggeranong Valley, in the south of Canberra. Derek was a resident of the Valley at the time.

The move was immediately successful and the move of a number of our own members to support the fledgling Club greatly asssisted in the process.

The Club meets at the Tuggeranong Town Centre Club on Tuesday nights.

This Club continues to focus its attention on the Tuggeranong Valley and its people; and on having fun at its meetings.
